Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: Lelouch Lamperouge and Kururugi Suzaku

Lelouch of Britannia and Suzaku of Japan first met when Lelouch and his sister, Nunally moved to the Kururugi residence as a diplomatic peace trade. Suzaku initially thought Lelouch was a prince who did not care for anyone other than himself, but as he came to know him better, they became the best of friends. They were separated from one another when Britannia invaded Japan, but were reunited once more in the Shinjuku Ghetto.

Beautiful cosplay! I can see a smirk in Lelouch’s face which is actually how I picture him to be. Suzaku looks very charming as well. Thanks to Tamina for sending this in!

Happy Memorial Day & Contest Winner

Happy Memorial Day to everyone. In the United States we celebrate today in memory of all the soldiers that have fought in wars and died for us. Though this originated around the US Civil War (1865) to commemorate those soldiers, it expanded to include all soldiers that died while in military service.

Some people spend the day placing flags on the graves of the fallen soldiers and visiting family and friends. Some town even hold parades while the politicians try to win supporters. It is a mixed bag sometimes, but mostly it is an extra day off for us to be with friends and family.


Now for the big news that I promised today. I had placed everyone on a separate sheet of paper, placed it into a bowl and held it high in the air. I had my son reach into the bowl and pick one piece of paper out (I did not look).

Hunter x Hunter: Kuroro Lucifer and Feitan

Originating from Meteor City, a junkyard inhabited by outcasts, Chrollo Lucifer is the leader of the gang of thieves known as the Phantom Troupe. Feitan is one of his members, but after his victory over Zazan, he has been granted temporary control over the group. Feitan is one of the original 6 members of the Phantom Troupe, until it was later expanded to a total of 13 members.

Beautiful cosplay! It’s been a while since I’ve seen cosplays from this series. I heard that the manga was still ongoing, is that true? Thanks to Fumiki for sending this in!

I had to skip last week's Unknown Cosplay Section because I didn't have any more unknowns until today.

I found this photo in my old hard drive. I didn't even know I still had cosplay photos in there! This is quite possibly very old already, so anyone's guess with who this girl is cosplaying is as good as mine.

Yes, I have absolutely no idea who the character is, so feel free to discuss this over at the comments section!

Also, we have the final results in Cosplay Holic's Poll! 168 votes total in only 30 days! You guys are amazing! Thanks for taking the time to vote! The winning vote is for me to update twice a day with 42%, and the runner up is the regular update of once a day at 36%!

I honestly don't know if I have enough cosplays from you guys to maintain a twice a day update, but I promise I will work very hard to reach this goal! For now, though, I may need to stick to once a day. That twice a day option was suppose to be a joke, but I guess the joke's on me now!

Ouran High School Host Club: Kurakano Momoka

The Vice-President of Class 1-A, Momoka conducts meetings with the Class President, Soga Kazukiyo, who actually has feelings for her but is too shy to say anything. She is a classmate of Haruhi and the Hitachiin twins, and is a frequent client of Haruhi’s in the Host Club. She enjoys thrills and adventure which is the exact opposite of Kazukiyo.

Cute cosplay! I had a hard time trying to figure out who she was in the series, but I got it eventually! Thanks to Rue for sending this in!

Vol.3 UP!

The art gets relatively decent page 13 and onwards (I think) and is cleaner and more refined than the previous two volumes.
This comic covers the period between about April 2009 to March 2010, if I ever finish it. It basically gives you a bit of info on their lives before the game starts.

I probably should started it from mid 2007 onwards, but I didn't feel it was right.

Figure Review: Gundam FIX Figuration #0034, Part II

Here is the last part of my review of the Gundam FIX Figuration #0034. I have to say it was intense getting everything put together. It took me a while and my wife was upset because she wanted to go out and I wanted to build it. My cats kept trying to take the wire holders that I had to undo as well and cause me great torment trying to keep them out of everything.

After finally getting everything put together, this thing was massive for the small size of the Gundam. As you can see by the photo below, this measured almost 24 inches in length. and just over 7.5 inches tall.


It has 4 gray pods on the top of it that come out and open. I thought this was a cool accessory if you had some fishing line and could hang them from the ceiling. I have been thinking about that and maybe some time getting them hung up. Here are the shots of the pods by themselves opened up.


The guns and shield that he carried also were hooked up together and placed onto the main frame with the pods. Here is a shot of them all folded up ready to be put on.


Just so you know, I took A LOT of shots of this for everyone to capture as much detail as I could. Now lets just see how cool this "little" Gundam is.

Final Fantasy X-2: Yuna 06

Costume designer for Final Fantasy X-2, Tsukamoto Tetsu states that the radical design changes for Yuna from Final Fantasy X to Final Fantasy X-2 reflect a huge cultural change. Because Yuna, Rikku, and Paine now lives in a more care-free world, the designers wanted them to be able to dress up. Scriptwriter Nojima Kazushige added that Yuna's new outfit was a "natural reaction to the heavy stuff she wore in FFX".

Witchblade the Anime Cosplayers

I know I usually have several different cosplayers here, but I could not find anything to match this Dynamic Dou. I can't say anything bad about this and just wish I could of found more shots to showcase here. It seems there was more of Amaha than of Shiori's character. If you look closely, you will see why there are more shots of Alodia. Everyone mentioned is on deviantArt and you can find the links below to there respective sites.

Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao are from the Philippines and I have to say they did a stunning job. They portrayed both Amaha Masane (Alodia) and Shiori Tsuzuki (Ashley) with great delight. Everything they did was done to the extreme and the photography by Jay Tablante really shows that.

They did a stunning job at the Anime Festival Asia in 2009 where they showcased these characters. It seems they lit up the party there and even made it to YouTube. Though they did a great show there, they did not win in the competition.
