Happy 4th of July

Here in the US, we celebrate the 4th of July as the day we became independent from England. Seems like we were a rowdy bunch back then and figured we could do it on our own. Not sure we are doing such a good job today, but we try our damn est to keep moving forward.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day off and having fun in the sun this 4th of July. Here is a little something for the Red Dragon of the West (DC Rushton) for your enjoyment.

Happy Father's Day

Well another year being a Dad and what a wild ride it always has been. Can't undo the safety belt yet as it is starting to climb the tracks to another roller coaster ride.

Plan to grab my son and meet my Dad at Bob Evan's Resturant for Breakfast oday. Three Generations of 'boys' having breakfast and talking about 'stuff'. It should be fun, but I am sure my son will be the most active talker. Never seems to be quiet, even when watching anime *sign*

Her is hopig that you are having a fun day with your family and remembering 'Good Olde Dad' today where ever he may be.

Here is something borrowed from Naruto Shippuden Episode 168 when he meets his Dad (Minato). I just hope that I can be as inspiring to my son as he was with his.

As we all do - have faith in our children!

Happy Memorial Day 2011

In the United States, today we are celebrating Memorial Day. It is the day that we honor those that were in the Armed Forces and have died defending our country.

It is a time to reflect on those that have given everything they had so we can enjoy the freedoms that we have today. Some people place flags and flowers on the graves of the departed soldiers, while others plan picnics and enjoy the time with the family.

This is also looked at as the official start of Summer.

This is kind of a military post, so I saved it for today to honor those who served in the Universal Century War.

Over at ANN this week, I found an interesting Gundam post.  It was for a Char Zaku inspired scooter for sale (MS-06S Zaku II). I am not sure, but really can't see myself on a pink scooter even with the cool design.

This started over at Yahoo Auctions for 110,000 yen ($1360 USD) and finally sold for 239,000 yen ($2955 USD). Overall, to me, this was a steal of a deal and I hope the new owner has a blast with all the attention they will get.

I wonder if they will build a RX-78-2 Scooter and go to battle in the streets?

HAPPY EASTER

Here in the US we are celebrating Easter today. My son's day will be filled with Easter Egg hunting and eating all the candy out of his Easter Basket.

I hope he finds all the real eggs, or else it will be a rotten egg that gets found later in the year. We will be counting them as they come back in :)

We also have some plastic eggs that will be filled with toys and more chocolate eggs for him. Maybe he may even find one or two with some cash.

Figured it has been a while that I had a sexy picture holiday post. For that reason, I will let these lovely ladies take it from here, Ladies . . .

"Here are some cute Easter pics"

"These are the lonely bunnies,
please stop by to wish them a Happy Easter"

"the dark side of bunnies - scary"

"Gamer Bunny!"

"Harem Bunnies - they do populate fast"

"*sigh* - ecchi bunnies, he is such a perv!"

"That's all for us Bunny Girls to show you today"

"How was your Easter?"

Happy Valentine's Day

What a way to start off my day with breaking over my 400th BLOG!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Here in the United States (US), we celebrate this day by giving cards, flowers, chocolates, jewelry, presents to our loved ones. In most part, this is the time us guys go get something sexy and nice for our girls and really treat them like the Queen's they are.

Honey, I hope you enjoyed your gift I gotcha today. It is one of the things you can now mark off your list.

But for the most part, it is a way for the retailers to make some cash in mid-winter as things are usually slow. Like everything in the US, it is too damn commercialized.

This is quite the opposite in Japan as the girls get the guys a gift. It is only on White Day (March 14th) that the guys, get the girls something nice. Girls usually give chocolate to all the guys at school or at work. It does not mean the same thing as it is given as a "Thank You" more than a "I Love You" way it is in the US.

Let enjoy ourselves with a nice holiday treat - I tried to keep this pretty, with not too much sexiness - well kind of. Remember, Love comes in all forms.

Happy New Year

Well I guess I am a day late and a dollar short now.

Little late on this post, but had a busy New Year arguing with my downstairs neighbor. She wanted to keep the party Loud and Proud way into the morning hours. TPT BITCH!

What plans do I have for the new year, well that may be hard to say.

1. We have a new budget as I got my new car. We also want to keep the green as we are hoping to get a house as well. Tired of the damn stupid people I live around (see above).

2. Get out more and get my camera clicking shots of nature again. I have not really update my nature photography site for months now.

3. Spend more QUALITY time with my family which may also mean staying away from the computer.

4. Watch more Anime of course as I got away from that near the end of the year. Find more sexy Cosplayers for my post and of course more posts :)

That seems about the big stuff for now.

Any New Year Resolutions in your household?

Got some goodies in last week and will be posting the shots soon. I had fun this weekend putting them all together. THis was not a bad haul off of eBay for $14.00 (9 Gashapon figures).

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

We wish everyone a Happy & Healthy Holiday Season!

We actually celebrate Yule which is on the Winter Solstice and had a blast opening the gifts. My son got something from Japan as he is always upset that I only get something. He got a Dialga Mega Block figure.I am not sure what's up with him, but he didn't smile for the camera. I guess he wanted to get back to the unwrapping and more presents.

It took him a couple days to put together as he was building it after school. Have to say they are not as sturdy as Lego's, but that didn't matter to him. He was so proud that he got it all together, but I wondered why on little blue piece was left over??

As for me, well I did take a picture of my stuff, but somehow lost the pictures while I was reviewing them. If I had a picture, this is what you would of seen:
  • Apple Creative Illustration Volume 4 book
  • Girl, Illustrated: Japanese Manga, Anime and Video Game Characters book
  • Afterglow Wii Remote & Nunchuk Game Controller (Blue Lighted - so cool)
  • Baltimore Raven's Shirt
  • Foxs Sports NFL Robot for Baltimore Ravens
That's it for me, have to get ready and Drive down to visit my Mom and Brother's Family to exchange gifts today. For all those traveling like us, stay safe out there.

Here is hoping that you get everything you wished for and more :)

Happy Labor Day

I am happily enjoying a day off from work. Today it Labor Day in the US and a National Holiday enjoyed by many.

Not that type of labor, but the type where you work, sheesh, what were you thinking?

"The first Labor Day in the United States was observed on September 5, 1882 in New York City, by the Central Labor Union of New York, the nation's first integrated major trade union." (Wiki). It became a national holiday later in 1884 after the big Pullman Strike where several Laborers lost their lives. It was originally a day for those that labored hard at work.

It has now become more of a symbol of the end of Summer vacation and the return to school. I remember starting school the day after Labor Day. Not sure about the school thing any more as my son started in mid-August. It is still considered the last 3 day weekend and massive parties and store sales show up. To me it does mean the Summer is over and Fall will soon be upon us. We used to head for the Beach and enjoy the last few days of freedom.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day no matter where in the world you are!
